At Minibugs Liskeard, outdoor learning is a key part of every child’s day.

Children benefit from free-flow access to our outdoor environments, allowing them to move between indoor and outdoor learning experiences throughout the day. Our large outdoor play space provides endless opportunities for children to explore, investigate, develop physical skills and let their imaginations flourish.

We are also proud to offer an all-weather outdoor classroom, enabling children to enjoy learning and exploration outdoors whatever the weather. From nature-based activities and creative experiences to physical play and group learning opportunities, our outdoor spaces support confidence, resilience, independence and a love of discovery.

Being located on the site of Liskeard Hillfort Primary School provides a unique opportunity for children to become familiar with the school environment before they begin their next stage of learning.

We work closely with our primary school neighbours to help ensure a positive and confident transition to school, supporting children to feel ready, secure and excited about this important milestone.

Our Dedicated Nursery Team

We carefully select team members who genuinely love working with children and who are dedicated to helping every child develop their own interests, strengths and personality.

Your Child’s Key Person

Every child is allocated a dedicated Key Person who will:

  • Support their care and wellbeing.
  • Plan activities tailored to their interests and development.
  • Build trusting relationships with both child and family.
  • Act as your main point of contact throughout their nursery journey.

All members of our Minibugs team hold Advanced Paediatric First Aid qualifications and receive regular training in safeguarding, child development and best practice within the Early Years sector.
