About me

I work in the baby room at the Wincobank Setting. I love working with the babies and knew this was a role I always wanted to do since leaving school.  I started with Minibugs in the summer of 2025 and I am enjoying my journey. I have a niece and nephew that I adore. Since working in childcare I have learnt that no two days are the same.

My experience

I pursed childcare in college and then lead onto doing a 2 year apprenticeship and I knew I had made the right choice and I have now been qualified for a year.

What inspired me to work in Early Years

I have a niece and nephew that I adore spending time with and knew I always wanted to work with children. Since being young I’ve always gravitated towards wanting to play with babies and look after them so I knew this was a career I wanted to purse and I love it. I can not wait to keep learning more about this job as everyday is a new leaving curve.

How I support children in my room

Working in the baby room we support them in many different ways. I love seeing their smiles when they arrive at nursery knowing they are going to have so much fun. I enjoy being a figure the children can come to when needing a cuddle and some comfort. Supporting the children with their development journey and seeing them reach milestones is what this role is all about and it makes me so happy.
